KANSAS

Team Kansas has 14 team members and in 2019 conducted 148 events while getting 437 veterans into the outdoors. Our goal for 2020 is to take 500 veterans into the outdoors on hunting and fishing trips. Our generous landowners and guides help us to target world-class Whitetail Deer, Turkey, Quail, Pheasant, and plenty of Coyotes and fish. Waterfowl season is always slammed packed with the central flyway migration making Kansas a top destination.

MEET YOUR KANSAS TEAM LEAD

Robert Lovell

I was born in raised in a small farm community in east-central Illinois. I grew up hunting and fishing with my father and my passion for the outdoors has grown immensely over the years. I enlisted in the Army as an infantryman in 2004 and have 2 years left until retirement. So far in my career, I’ve had the pleasure of serving in Korea, Hawaii, Georgia, North Carolina, Italy, and now Kansas. Including deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan. It was during my time in the military that I developed a greater passion for the outdoors. This new connection with the outdoors was an escape from the stress of deployments, life on active duty, and raising 5 kids. Through the mentorship of friends I served with, I was able to expand my knowledge of hunting and fishing and begin to pass that on to others. It was for this reason alone that I decided to join TFO so that I could provide the same opportunity to others. Since joining Team Kansas I have had the amazing opportunity to take out veterans and active-duty service members on their first hunts. In some cases, introducing them to a new type of hunting that they have never done (i.e. duck hunting/upland hunting). As the Team Kansas lead, I look forward to continuing to support the mission of The Fallen Outdoors and help other vets find their passion for the outdoors.
